Vepsestikk is an indie band from Bergen that experiments with various elements from punk, prog rock and jazz. The music has been described as "a type of jazz punk of the really catchy kind" (Engelstad, BT 04.09.22). With groovy rhythms, melodious bass, dreamy guitar and trumpet in stereo, Vepsestikk forms an exciting witch's brew, which makes you "move your dancing feet in a sober state" (Krøvel, Universitas 26.04.23). The vocals alternate between desperate battle cries from the stomach and vulnerable siren song from the heart. The quartet has made a name for itself on various stages around the country, including in connection with Bergenfest, Havstrømfestivalen in Oslo and UKA in Trondheim. Recently, they have also captured the Swedish audience at the indie club Heaven up Here in Stockholm.
