For a new generation of music enthusiasts, Khmer became a way into jazz, for ECM it became a bridge from atmospheric soundscapes into a new world of beats and electronica, for Molvær himself it placed him at the forefront of the new European jazz - where he, among other things, has collaborated with Bill Laswell and Sly & Robbie. Now the record has reached 25 years, and it is time to celebrate this perfect moment between jazz freedom, pop aesthetics and rock energy. On stage he has, among others, Eivind Aarset and Rune Arnesen from the original recording with him.
