With Mats Eilertsen on bass and drum comet Veslemøy Narvesen behind the percussion, the foundation is laid for Jacob Young to excel with melodic compositions and world-class guitar playing. Although this trio is new, Young has long been a key supplier in Norwegian jazz, with ten solo records - four of these on ECM - as well as running Oslo Session Recordings, where he has worked with Mike Mainieri and Siril Malmedal Hauge, among others. He has also toured with Manu Katché, Karin Krogh and Bendik Hofset. Guitar jazz with clear origins, but with an eye on the future.
