Composed and improvised, beautiful and intense, structured and playful. At this intersection, the Bliss Quintet excels with dramatic and sentimental ballads, catchy riffs, complex rhythms and open harmonic landscapes in the tradition of Atomic and Masqualero. With a playful interplay and energetic presence, the quintet has in a short time marked itself out as an up-and-coming band within the Norwegian jazz scene. The band released their debut album "Dramaqueen" on Jazzland Recordings in spring 2022 and "Glasshouse" in 2023. The debut was mentioned in Ballade as the album of the year, and by Selwyn Harris from Jazzwise (UK) as "an impressive-sounding young Norwegian band for the future".
