Hungry John is back at Nattjazz, hungrier than ever. Fifty years ago, the band was pioneering in its mission for blues in Norway, not least for focusing almost exclusively on its own material. John Magnar Bernes wrote most of the music and received the blues prize at the Notodden Blues Festival in 2003 and the blues prize at the Hell Blues Festival in 2018. On the occasion of the anniversary, the band gathers to perform a concert with their most famous songs - and new material. These versatile legends have been active musicians at home and abroad since the 1970s, and look forward to filling the festival with classic blues.
