When Swedish Mariam Wallentin played at Nattjazz under the alias Mariam the Believer, the music was so heartfelt and intense that it almost physically hurt every time a song ended. With Wildbirds  Peacedrums she almost took over the world, and the minimalist-genius duo has toured the world in front of an ever-growing fan base. Add big band noise with Fire!Orchestra, collaboration with Susanna Wallumrød and Lykke Li, as well as music for the Raised by Wolves series, and you have an artist who so clearly goes her own way at the same time as she leaves behind beautiful and important music. In collaboration with the Vestnorsk Jazz Center and regional musicians, she is now coming up with a larger production partly based on new arrangements of old songs, partly on new compositions - you will be offered both music and visual effects that will take your breath away.
