With a new record and a fantastic Euro-American sextet, soprano saxophonist Emile Parisien marks 10 years on the record company ACT. Already as a 10-year-old, the prodigy started a career which after a quarter of an hour led him under the wings of Clark Terry, Bobby Hutcherson, Oscar Peterson and Wynton Marsalis and has ended up with over ten records as a bandleader. On stage, the music is original and distinctive - classical education in Europe and ditto jazz education in the United States draws the best from several worlds - at the same time the songs are catchy and melodic. A pan-Atlantic dream team!
