Eivind Austad is usually busy getting others to sound better -  not least at the jazz academy in Bergen where he facilitates new generations of musicians. Now it is high time to show that the jazz general at the Grieg Academy is also a fabulous performer. With melodic flair like a modern Bill Evans and rhythmic like Keith Jarrett - combined with a fundamental love of blues and soul, Austad performs music that hits both heart and brain - whether it's his own songs, Cole Porter or David Bowie. With him is bassist Magne Thormodsæter, known from Bergen Big Band, as well as hundreds of small and large projects in Bergen, and super drummer Håkon Mjåset Johansen from, among others, Come Shine, Trondheim Jazz Orchestra and Chick Corea.
